abe.®proof liquid primer UV topcote is used to provide UV protection to exposed areas of the abe.®proof liquid membrane including other surfaces and coatings requiring high movement capabilities.
All surfaces are to be clean, free of all dirt and loose debris. This could be achieved by using clean water to reveal a clean, sound surface.
Slow mixing or thorough stirring using a flat paddle just to re-homogenise the product before application.
The product may be applied by brush, short nap roller or airless spray equipment.
Once the final coat of abe.®proof liquid membrane has cured, after 3 hours, apply the abe.®proof liquid membrane UV topcote.
Two coats are required allowing 3 hours between coats, each coat to be applied at a rate of 0.450 L/m2 and 0.400 L/m2 respectively.
All surfaces require suitable protection from dirt and contamination between coats and until the final coating has fully cured.
First coat 1 L will cover 2.2 m2
Second coat 1 L will cover 2.5 m2
A liquid top coat applied to provide UV protection to abe.®proof liquid membrane.
The UV protection coat will be abe.®proof liquid membrane UV topcote, a single pack, highly elastic, solvent borne, low VOC, liquid applied in in two coats, the first coat 1 L per 2.2 m2 and the second coat 1 L per 2.5 m2 in accordance with the recommendations of a.b.e.® Construction Chemicals.
abe.®proof liquid membrane UV topcote is supplied in 5 and 20 L containers.
Tools and mixing equipment should be cleaned immediately after use, and before the material has set with abe.®super brush cleaner, followed by washing with soap and water
abe.®proof liquid membrane UV topcote has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry, cool store in the original, unopened packs. If stored at high temperatures and/or high humidity conditions, the shelf life may be reduced.
Suitable protective clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protective equipment should be worn.
Ensure adequate ventilation and do not smoke, use flame or naked lights during application. If material is splashed into the eye, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention.
