The project involved railway infrastructure and an epoxy to carry and distribute the applied loads as well as anchor the fastening system as its primary
purpose.

The specified solution was epidermix® 324, a three-component, solvent-free, amine-cured, silica-filled epoxy mortar. This product was selected for its
exceptional strength, ease of mixing with a standard drill and spiral mixer, superior flowability compared to alternative materials, and to fill narrow gaps with limited access.

Curing time at 25°C: Touch dry in approx. 8 hours, practical cure within 24 hours and reaches full cure in 7 days. The compressive strength is 60 MPa after
just 1 day and increases to 110 MPa after 7 days. Once cured, it provides resistance to oils, greases, petroleum products, fuels, and solvents. epidermix® 324 exhibits good damp tolerance, provided that appropriate mechanical surface preparation has been carried out to ensure adequate mechanical bonding; therefore ideal for use as a tunnel grout.

For applications requiring a rammed epoxy mortar, epidermix® 325 is recommended.
