Economical, water based acrylic waterproofing – including abe® proof membrane.

Surface Preparation

Ensure all surfaces are clean dry, sound and free from all laitance, fungal growth, grease, oil or loose and flaking particles.


Bonding / Priming

Prime porous surfaces with a neat coat of abe.® proof acrylic waterproofing.
Prime metal surfaces with  abe.® 4-metal primer, let prime coat dry for a minimum of 4 hours.


Stir well before use.


Coverage: 2.1 L/m2 full system.


1st coat abe.® proof acrylic waterproofing (after priming):

Apply by brush/roller using 1 L/m².

Embed abe.® proof membrane into wet coat, avoiding bubbles or wrinkles.

Ensure overlaps minimum 100 mm on end laps and 75 mm on side laps.

2nd coat abe.® proof acrylic waterproofing:

Once 1st coat has dried (2-3 hours), apply 2nd coat by brush/roller using 0,5 L/m² and ensure membrane is fully saturated.

3rd coat abe.® proof acrylic waterproofing:

Once 2nd coat hasdried, apply 3rd coat at different angle to 2nd using 0,5 L/m².


Drying time @ 25 Degrees

Touch dry: 1 hour,
Hard dry: 24 hours,
Full cure: 7 days.


Whilst still wet, clean equipment with water. If abe.® proof acrylic waterproofing has dried use  abe.®super brush cleaner, followed by washing with soap & water.


Membrane must be used. Always ensure that abe.® proof acrylic waterproofing is applied to well drained roofs.


Protection on Completion

Whilst abe.® proof acrylic waterproofing is designed for an extended life, it is important tp apply a maintenance coat to abe.® proof acrylic waterproofing every 3 to 4 years.

Red, grey, charcoal, burgundy, white, green, brown and terracotta.

Handling & Storage

abe.®proof liquid membrane has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry, cool store in the original, unopened packs. If stored at high temperatures and/or high humidity conditions, the shelf life may be reduced.
